How It Works

Packs of Grow Your Own Crocuses are delivered to schools and youth groups in October.  The children plant crocus bulbs in their pots and design their own labels and take them home.

When the crocuses start to bloom around February, the children bring them back into school / youth group where they become the focus for the following activities:

  • Learning about Polio, how it spreads, the global eradication programme and some inspiring profiles of Polio survivors.
  • Doing some fundraising in the lead up to Rotary Day on 23rd Febuary.
